T ■■H T The musu researchers of Johto initially dubbed Togepi the "egg” musu as its one of the few musu known to hatch from eggs. However mages of Kanto refused this on account of them already giving the moniker to Exeggcute. After numerous petty fights and scandals between the factions, the Kanto researchers won and Togepi is now called "The spike ball musu". This decision would later lead to a very similar situation with Ferroseed but that's another story for another time. After they hatch, Togepi still have pieces of the shell on their skin. Said pieces aren't attached strongly but the musu is still hesitant to remove them for personal reasons. Togepi impact the emotions of others passively both as eggs and when hatched. For positive emotions they absorb and amplify them all around them. For negative emotions they absorb and dampen the emotions for those around them. Either way, onlookers will feel better in the presence of Togepi, though constant negative exposure will make Togepi feel ill. As an egg, Togepi are remarkably durable, able to withstand earthquakes, extreme temperatures and even lightning. It appears that only noxious poisons and forged iron can harm sTrainer Tips Editor's note: Togepi eggs are from Togekiss specifically, not Togetic. Due to the rarity of Bright Stone in the region, Togekiss weren't discovered until communications with researchers in the Sinnoh Mountains. Because of this miscommunication Togekiss appear far later in the recorded dex than many expect. Threat Level: Low ^
6 TOGETIC It’s said when a Togepi finds true love, the last of her shell sheds off, revealing a pair of wings. This marks their ardent shift into Togetic. While many consider their wings to be majestic, they don't actually need them to fly. Though the wings do help them steer when flying at fast speeds. Because Togetic's ardent shift is inspired by a specific person. They'll typically devote themselves completely to the well being of said person until their dying breath. Should the Togetic live past said person, they'll mourn for a year and a day, Then afterwards, pledge themselves to spreading joy to others. So the world may feel a fraction of the love the Togetic received in their life. Togetic are quite rare in the world but those that have seen them would describe them as benevolent saviors. Who travel from place to place, aiding those in need. Some people even pray to the musu, though they'll generally discourage this when they encounter someone with this mindset. While their shift makes them stronger than they were as Togepi, Togetic still experience great pain when in the presence of strong negative emotions. Making fighting out of the question for most Togetic. P okemusu ness 170cm sTrainer Tips Only ones with a pure heart can bond with a Togetic. Convincing them of this isn't required either, as their extraordinary empathetic sense will enable them to tell at a glance the content of your character. ''Even if your memories drag you down, remember that these wings will guide you to tomorrow. You’re more important than you know.” - Kind Angel’s Thesis, a common Togetic saying Threat Level: Low ^
