124 JYNX Human Shape Pokemusu The human shaped musu, Jynx, is kno- J wn for their shadowy bodies, golden hair and their unnerving singing. Jynx cannot articulate words of any known language but they can produce sounds in their bodies which form "songs". These songs function as their way of communicating and plant thoughts in the heads of those who hear them. The process is rather uncomfortable for those not expecting it and if interrupted will leave the listener unable to understand the message. Jynx's bodies are made of shadow and thus they can only live in dark areas. Most commonly they gather in artic lands where the nights are longer in winter. They also hibernate during the summer months when the days lengthen. The appearance of Jynx is actually an attempt to mimic the late queen Deir-dre LeMune of the Seveii archipelago. It's believed that Jynx saw her sailing by one day and admired her so much that they attempted to emulate her. However, their attempts can come a-cross as "uncanny" to many humans and thus their affections are often misunderstood. Because Jynx are made of shadow, they can disperse at will and thus can't be attacked. It's unknown if there's any means of harming Jynx or even if they can die. ■Trainer Tips While Jynx appear threatening to many, they profoundly adore humanity.
