Where most musu generate magic within themselves. Eevee instead manipulates energies around them and can even store power within themselves. It's mandatory for all Eevee in Kanto to be relocated to the Eevee Academy of Thaumaturgy and Sorcery, or EATS for short. Due to their unusual relationship with magic, an unsupervised Eevee can very easily absorb unsafe magics and become unstable. Thus, necessitating their required tutoring at the academy to prevent damage to themselves and others. There is debate among humans about the current handling of Eevee, some think that Eevee should be entitled to a larger degree of freedom while o-thers that have seen the destructive potential of their more unstable evolutions think otherwise. Its only upon evolution that Eevee become proficient at any form of magic. It typically requires a strong source of one magic type for them to evolve safely. When they absorb the energy of an electric stone their fur bunches into sharp spines across their body. The magics imbibed also affect the musu's personality. In this case, Jolteon become more impulsive and aggressive upon changing. Jolteon continue their studies as E.A.T.S. for the most part. While some do travel, many humans and other musu are wary of their moodiness and thus they often meet with difficulties when visiting new places. They have a disdain for the academy's traditions and thus will do what they want regardless of the rules or the will of the faculty. Most humans avoid contact with Jolteon as they typically present themselves as "ne'er do wells" and often cause trouble wherever they go. Most Jolteon carry iron flails as weapons since they make for great bludgeons and also function as a conduit for their electricity. Their rebellious attitudes toward magic also inspire them to manipulate their magic in unorthodox ways. This led to them creating their iconic "pin missile" attack which is one of the few attacks that can disorient strong psychics. ■Trainer Tips Upon changing into Jolteon, the musu gains an extra organ in their chest that functions as a generator for their electricity. ^ 136 FLAREON ^ ■Trainer Tips When bonded with a human Flareon tend to be very a-ffectionate and doting with their partners. Their body heat also tends to be higher in relationships then when not. Of the Eevee masters Flareon tend to travel the most though many still tak< residence at E.A.T.S. academy. Their caring and loving nature increases their desire to help others in need. S< those who stay at the academy often become teachers or counselors. Many Flareon choose to use their mastery over fire to become expert chefs, craftsman, doctors and some even run saunas using their own body heat Humans around the world greatly a-ppreciate their warm hospitality and kindness. Flareon rarely wish to fight and will seek peaceful solutions when possible. However, if pushed to extremes their fire magic can easily stop most aggressors in their tracks. Additionally, their flame imbued fur is surprisingly resilient against certain magical attacks.
