Often they'll settle in areas near Gol-duck as Poliwag appreciate their company, and Golduck's kindhearted nature can't help but try to protect them. Despite living in remote areas, Poliwag will seek out new people to be social with, including humans. Though they have difficulty understanding the nuances of many of these groups. Some examples include stealing from merchants since they don't understand the concept of ownership or assuming a bard's song lyrics are literal speech. With little natural defenses, a Poliwag will rely on others to defend themselves or flee from the attackers Though if no such solution is possible, pods of Poliwag will swarm attackers and pull them underwater to subdue them. ■Trainer Tips Bonding with a Poliwag requires bonding with her entire pod, as the musu won't be with someone her friends disapprove. A good tactic is to bring gifts from the surface, as long as the gifts are water proof. Poliwag take pride in their bubble blowing abilities and boast about the many shapes they can make.
